Makeup Tips To Look Beautiful In All Your Photos

Skin

Before putting on makeup, make sure your skin is smooth, supple and hydrated. Use an exfoliator to make your skin feel clean and polished. Also, exfoliate your lips as well.

Apply in natural light

Apply your make up in natural light to get best results. You risk applying heavy makeup with indoor lighting as your makeup might appear different.

Always Start With Primer

A primer will even out your skin, fill in fine lines and also fade imperfections which the camera lens can often magnify.

Conceal

Use a light foundation to conceal blemishes. Avoid caking your face with it.  Also, use a good under eye concealer which is a shade or two lighter than your actual skin tone. Blend out the concealer extremely well. Most importantly make sure you also apply foundation on your neck otherwise your face and neck color difference will be noticeable in photos.

Use Mattes

Matte makeup is flat and it’s without any shimmer or sparkle. You won’t look your best with a shiny face as it will reflect poorly in the camera.

Tinted powders

Avoid shimmery powders as they reflect light. Apply yellow tinted powder as it’s better than translucent or shimmery powders.

Eyeliner and Mascara

Use black eyeliner and mascara, it will give you better contrast. Use liquid liner as it will define your eyes better than a pencil. Apply a thin line very close to your lashes and finish with a light swipe of mascara. Also, use eye drops to make your eyes look clear and not bloodshot.

Blush and Bronzer

Define your face using a bronzer that is one or two shades darker than your natural skin color. Apply it to areas like cheekbones, hairline, under the chin and both sides of your nose.

Blush will add definition to your face, making you look radiant when the camera flash hits your face.  Apply blush to the apples of your cheek. Make sure to blend around the edges.

Lipstick

You can either put on a bold lipstick or even go for nude colors.  Don’t forget to line with a lip pencil which matches your lipstick color. For best results, you need to contrast your features.

Teeth

Make sure you don’t have yellow teeth. You can use lemons or baking soda as a natural teeth whitener. Make sure that you don’t get any lipstick on your teeth.

Few Other Tips

  • Wear clothes which will flatter your looks.
